Learn more about COVID-19 testing here.

CUTS + ABRASIONS

While some cuts and abrasions can be treated at home by cleaning the injury and covering it with a bandage, there is always a chance of infection. If you suspect that your cut or abrasion has gotten infected, visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care right away for caring medical treatment.

DIARRHEA + CONSTIPATION

If you have diarrhea or have been constipated for more than a day or two, you're likely in discomfort and it could be a sign that something else is wrong. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we can treat diarrhea and constipation and perform tests to ensure there are no underlying issues.

DIZZINESS

Feeling dizzy is usually a temporary condition that will go away after a few minutes. However, if you are experiencing dizziness for an extended period of time, or are experiencing additional symptoms like fainting or vomiting, you should seek medical attention at PhysicianOne Urgent Care.

EARACHES + EAR INFECTIONS

If you're experiencing an earache or think you may have an ear infection, it's a good idea to visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care. We will perform any tests needed for a diagnosis and recommend an appropriate treatment plan. Common symptoms of an ear infection include:

  • Dizziness
  • Nausea

  • Eye pain
  • A feeling something is in the eye
  • Yellow, green, bloody, or watery discharge from the eye
  • Blurred or decreased vision

FEVERS

A fever occurs when your body temperature rises above the average temperature of 98.6 F. If you have a fever, it could be a sign that something in your body is off. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we can perform tests to see what's causing your fever and provide treatment options.

HEADACHES

While headaches can often be resolved with over-the-counter medications, a persistent headache that won't go away can be a sign of an underlying issue. If you're experiencing constant headaches, visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care to get checked out by medical professionals who will help you get back to feeling better.

INFECTED WOUNDS

A wound infection happens when bacteria enter a break in the skin. While these infections can be treated relatively easily, if they are not treated properly, they can lead to sepsis, which can be deadly. Signs of an infected wound include:

  • Blood or pus coming from the wound
  • Warm, red, painful, or swollen skin near the wound
  • A foul odor coming from the wound

INSECT & ANIMAL BITES

While most animal and insect bites are rather harmless and cause only temporary discomfort, that's not always the case. If you're allergic to certain insects such as bees or ants, you'll want to seek treatment. Likewise, a bite from an animal such as a dog or a raccoon may require stitches or a shot to prevent rabies. PhysicianOne Urgent Care can provide necessary treatment for a variety of insect and animal bites.

MINOR BURNS

Some minor burns can be treated at home, while others may require medical attention. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we treat first- and second-degree burns. You should visit us for treatment if your burn is:

  • Larger than three inches
  • Still causing pain after 48 hours
  • Causing a fever
  • Oozing or increasing in redness
  • Located in a sensitive area such as your feet, groin, face, buttocks, or a major joint

MINOR INJURIES

While minor injuries may not require a trip to the hospital, they still can cause discomfort and treatment from medical professionals may be necessary. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we can treat many minor injuries, including:

  • Lacerations
  • Cuts and abrasions
  • Infected wounds
  • Minor burns
  • Breaks and fractures
  • Sprains and strains
  • Tendonitis

MINOR STOMACH PAIN

Minor stomach pain is a relatively common occurrence that is rarely worrisome. However, it should not be ignored because on rare occasions, it can be serious and require treatment. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we can perform tests to diagnose why your stomach is hurting, and after we diagnose you, can recommend appropriate treatment options.

RASHES

A rash is a type of inflammation or irritation that causes the skin to break out in blotches, blisters, or welts. While not all rashes require medical attention, you should visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care if the rash:

  • Covers your entire body
  • Is accompanied by a fever
  • Appears suddenly and spreads rapidly
  • Begins to blister
  • Causes pain

SHORTNESS OF BREATH

Shortness of breath is a symptom attributed to a number of conditions. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we can perform a thorough exam on you, including taking X-rays of your chest and lungs to determine the cause of your shortness of breath, and provide you with an appropriate treatment plan.

SINUS INFECTION

A sinus infection occurs when your nasal passages swell, causing an excess of mucus and fluid to become trapped within your sinuses. The mucus and fluid can be a breeding ground for germs, which can cause a sinus infection to develop. Common symptoms of sinus infections include:

  • A high or persistent fever
  • Bad breath
  • Decreased sense of smell
  • Postnasal drip
  • Pressure in your upper jaw or cheekbones

SKIN ABSCESS

A skin abscess is a bump that appears below the skin's surface that is usually filled with pus or translucent fluid. Some of the common causes of skin abscesses include bacterial infections and infected hair follicles. We can diagnose skin abscesses at our urgent care center and treat them, usually by draining them or prescribing an antibiotic.

SORE THROAT

Sore throats are most commonly caused by viral infections, such as the flu or a cold. However, they can also be caused by the streptococcus bacteria, more commonly known as strep throat. If you have a sore throat, visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care to receive an accurate diagnosis and expert treatment so you can start to feel better as quickly as possible.

SPLINTERS + FOREIGN BODY REMOVAL

Foreign objects and splinters can enter your body in a variety of ways. While you may be able to remove the object yourself with a pair of tweezers, in certain situations, medical treatment from PhysicianOne Urgent Care may be necessary. You should visit us if the object:

  • Does not come out easily
  • Is very deep, in your face, or touching a bone
  • Entered through the bottom of your shoe
  • Has rough or sharp edges
  • Is embedded in your eye

SPRAINS + STRAINS

Although uncomfortable, minor sprains and strains can usually heal well on their own with conservative treatment. However, severe sprains may require additional medical treatment. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we can take an X-ray of your injury to determine the severity, and recommend an appropriate treatment plan based on the results.

STD TESTING

We provide prompt testing and treatment for a wide range of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimate that nearly 20 million people contract an STD each year, which is why it's important to be regularly tested for STDs if you are sexually active. We can test for:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • HIV
  • Herpes
  • Syphilis
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis C

TENDONITIS

Tendinitis is the result of one or more tendons becoming inflamed, causing pain and decreased physical ability. Usually attributed to overusing a joint, tendinitis may resolve on its own with rest and ice. However, if the symptoms persist, additional treatment may be necessary. We can treat your tendinitis symptoms with:

  • A splint
  • Medication
  • Steroidal injections

We can also provide a referral to a specialist, if needed, such as a physical therapist, orthopedic surgeon, or rheumatologist.

TICK BITES + LYME DISEASE

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers tick removal, tick bite assessment, and treatment. Tick bites are usually harmless, but some ticks carry the bacterium that causes Lyme disease, which is why you should have a tick bite promptly assessed by a medical professional. Common Lyme disease symptoms include:

  • Fatigue
  • Joint pain
  • Headache
  • Rash
  • Fever

URINARY TRACT INFECTIONS

While men are not immune, women tend to be the most likely recipients of urinary tract infections, a condition that occurs when bacteria invade the urinary tract. It's important to seek treatment for a UTI, as the infection can only be cleared up after a round of antibiotics or other medication. Some of the most common symptoms of a UTI include:

  • Stinging, burning, or itching sensations when urinating
  • Back pain
  • An intense urge to urinate
  • Cloudy or foul-smelling urine
  • Fever

VOMITING + DEHYDRATION

Adults and children who experience dehydration symptoms after vomiting—such as excessive thirst, infrequent urination, and light-headedness—should come directly to PhysicianOne Urgent Care for treatment. We'll get to work immediately to replenish your body with intravenous fluids.

BOWEL + STOMACH ISSUES

If you're experiencing a bowel obstruction or gastrointestinal issue, we can diagnose your condition with an X-ray. Our abdominal X-rays can detect:

  • Kidney stones
  • Foreign bodies
  • Tumor masses
  • Blockages and perforations in the intestines

BREAKS OR FRACTURES

Diagnosing a broken bone and fracture is one of the most common reasons our patients visit us for X-rays. Your X-ray will be expertly handled by our experienced practitioners and over-read by a board-certified radiologist for the utmost accuracy. Depending on the result, we'll recommend an appropriate treatment plan and can also provide you with a referral to an orthopedic specialist, if necessary.

CONGESTION / FLUID IN LUNGS

Using digital X-rays, we can diagnose chest congestion or fluid in the lungs, conditions that require medical treatment. Visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care for diagnosis and treatment if you are experiencing:

  • A persistent cough
  • Wheezing
  • Coughing up yellow or green phlegm
  • A fever
  • Fatigue
  • Feeling confused or disoriented

FOREIGN BODIES

Our digital X-rays can detect foreign objects that have entered your body through a wound. When these objects—usually, dirt, glass, rocks, or splinters—are embedded in your soft tissue, they can cause infection and other complications. We can locate the foreign object and remove it quickly and effectively.

JOINT DISLOCATIONS

Joint dislocations can occur in the fingers, shoulders, knees, elbows, and hips and is the result of an unbalanced or unexpected collision, causing bones to be thrust out of their normal positions. At PhysicianOne Urgent Care, we can evaluate your injury and perform an X-ray to determine if a dislocation has occurred. Common symptoms of a dislocation include:

  • Visible deformity
  • Tingling or numbness
  • Loss of motion
  • Pain during movement
  • Bruising

KIDNEY STONES

Kidney stones are the result of urine that contains less fluid that is able to be diluted and more crystal-forming substances (i.e., calcium, uric acid, and oxalate). Unfortunately, the only way to find relief is to pass the stones, which usually takes up to two days. PhysicianOne Urgent Care can provide X-ray services to detect kidney stones and prescribe medication to reduce your pain as you're passing the stone.

PNEUMONIA

Pneumonia can be a serious condition, which is why early detection and prompt treatment are key. If you or your child has been dealing with chest congestion, persistent coughing, and/or a cough that produces mucus, we can diagnose the condition with a chest X-ray and provide treatment to help clear up the symptoms.

SPRAINS OR STRAINS

While minor ligament sprains and muscle strains can often be resolved using the RICE method—rest, ice, compression, and elevation—there are some instances when you'll want to come to PhysicianOne Urgent Care for proper evaluation and treatment. Our experienced professionals can diagnose your injury and its severity with an on-site X-ray, and we can offer additional treatment, whether that's a cast or brace or a referral for surgery or physical therapy.

Drug Testing

We offer a number of drug testing services, as part of our occupational health program. Some of our services include:

  • Random screening programs
  • Post-accident screenings
  • Reasonable suspicion testing
  • Follow-up testing
  • Rapid-results testing

Flu

We're pleased to offer influenza (flu) testing services. We're often able to diagnose the flu based on our own evaluation, but if you do need a flu test, we will:

  • Swab your nose or throat to collect a mucus sample
  • Test the sample at our on-site laboratory (results are usually available in just 15 to 20 minutes!)
  • Recommend a course of treatment based on our findings

Glucose

We offer glucose testing services to help patients determine whether their blood sugar levels are:

  • Too high (hyperglycemia)
  • Too low (hypoglycemia)
  • Within the normal range

Testing simply involves taking a blood sample, which we then process in our on-site laboratory.

Hemoccult

Even a small amount of blood within fecal matter can be a sign of digestive issues, but trace amounts of blood often aren't visible to the naked eye. We offer hemoccult testing services to determine whether there is any blood in a patient's stool.

Hemoglobin

We perform hemoglobin testing to check for a number of conditions, most commonly anemia, which is characterized by a low red blood cell count. Symptoms of anemia include:

  • Fatigue
  • Rapid heart rate
  • Shortness of breath
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Paleness
  • Difficulty concentrating

I-Stat (Basic Chemical Panel)

We're pleased to offer I-Stat testing. This state-of-the-art portable testing system requires only a few drops of blood and can provide results within just a few minutes.

Mono

We offer rapid testing for mononucleosis (sometimes referred to as "the kissing disease"), a viral infection that can cause:

  • Fatigue
  • Fever
  • Sore throat
  • Swollen lymph nodes

Although there's no cure for mono, our skilled providers can recommend a course of treatment aimed at relieving your symptoms.

Pregnancy

If you've taken an at-home pregnancy test and you want to confirm the results, you can turn to PhysicianOne Urgent Care. Our caring and compassionate providers perform on-site pregnancy testing.

Strep Throat

We offer rapid testing to check for strep throat, a bacterial infection that can cause:

  • Throat soreness
  • Difficulty swallowing
  • Fever
  • Headache and body aches
  • Lymph node swelling and tenderness

If your test comes back positive for strep throat, we can prescribe an antibiotic to treat the condition.

Urinalysis

We offer on-site urinalysis to test for a number of conditions, including:

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
  • Kidney disease
  • Liver disease
  • Diabetes

INFECTED WOUNDS
LACERATIONS
MINOR BURNS

TENDONITIS

BREAKS + FRACTURES

We can provide prompt medical treatment for minor broken bones and fractures. We'll diagnose your injury quickly with a digital X-ray and then develop a comprehensive treatment plan that may include a cast, a brace, crutches, pain medication, and more.

CUTS + ABRASIONS

For the most part, minor cuts and abrasions can be effectively treated at home. Make sure to thoroughly clean the wound to get rid of any dirt and then cover it with a bandage. However, if you're worried that your cut may be infected, visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care immediately for prompt treatment. Signs of infection include:

  • A fever over 100 degrees
  • Red streaks spreading from the wound
  • The wound oozing fluid
  • Swollen and tender skin near the wound site

FOREIGN OBJECT REMOVAL

We can locate foreign objects in a patient's body and provide effective removal services. Using a digital X-ray, we'll be able to detect where the foreign body is—usually, it is embedded in a patient's soft tissue through a wound—in order to safely remove it. These foreign bodies are usually composed of dirt, glass, rocks, or splinters, and need to be removed quickly to avoid infection.

INFECTED WOUNDS

An infected wound requires immediate medical attention. Thankfully, PhysicianOne Urgent Care is open seven days per week to take care of you. Visit us if you believe your wound has become infected. We will examine the wound, diagnose your condition, and provide comprehensive treatment.

LACERATIONS

Lacerations are typically deeper than a simple cut and often require medical treatment. In some cases, a tetanus shot is recommended. PhysicianOne Urgent Care is open seven days per week and we offer prompt laceration treatment. We'll evaluate your wound, provide the necessary treatment, and send you on your way home with a comprehensive treatment plan in no time at all.

MINOR BURNS

PhysicianOne Urgent Care offers walk-in medical treatment for minor burns. Visit us for treatment if your burn is:

  • Larger than 3 inches in diameter
  • Accompanied by a fever
  • Oozing fluid or increasing in redness
  • Located on your feet, hands, groin, face, buttocks, or a major joint

SPRAINS + STRAINS

Our urgent care center offers treatment for sprains and strains. We can diagnose the severity of your injury and provide a comprehensive treatment protocol aimed at helping you feel better fast.

STITCHES + STAPLING

Stitches and staples are used to close wounds. Stitches are typically used for minor cuts while staples are used for deeper lacerations or for areas of the body that can be difficult to suture. When you visit PhysicianOne Urgent Care for wound treatment, we'll recommend the appropriate option for your injury.

TENDONITIS

Tendinitis is usually attributed to overusing or injuring a muscle. This type of injury doesn't always require medical attention, but if your symptoms aren't improving after conservative treatment (such as rest, heat and cold therapy, and over-the-counter medication), come to PhysicianOne Urgent Care for specialized medical attention.

EKG

We're proud to offer on-site electrocardiogram (EKG) testing. EKGs measure electrical activity within the heart and can be used to determine:

  • Whether your heart is beating at a normal speed
  • Whether you have an arrhythmia
  • If the size and shape of your heart are normal
  • Whether your electrolytes are balanced

IV Fluid and Medication

We provide this service on site, and we also offer IV fluid therapy for patients suffering from dehydration.

Oxygen

Everyone needs oxygen to survive, but sometimes people can't get sufficient oxygen just through breathing. A lack of oxygen can cause:

  • Shortness of breate
  • Increased heart rate
  • Coughing and wheezing
  • Sweating

We're pleased to provide oxygen therapy on site to assist patients with their medical needs.

PPD (Tuberculosis) Testing

A purified protein derivative (PPD) skin test is used to diagnose tuberculosis (TB), a potentially serious bacterial infection that mainly affects the lungs. When an infected person coughs or sneezes, the bacteria that cause TB may become airborne and be inhaled by others. You may need a PPD test if:

  • You've had close contact with a person who has TB
  • You've spent time in an area where TB is common, such as Latin America, Asia, or Africa
  • You live or work in a high-risk setting, such as a nursing home or correctional facility

Pre-op Evaluations

If you're preparing for surgery, we can complete your pre-operative evaluation to help ensure a smooth and successful procedure. We'll work closely with your surgeon to collect and evaluate your health information, which may include:

  • Checking your heart, lungs, abdomen, ears, nose, and throat
  • Performing lab tests on site, such as a urinalysis and bloodwork
  • Taking X-rays on site
  • Performing an electrocardiogram (EKG) test on site

Sports and School Physicals

Whether you're starting a new sport, school year, or job, a physical exam is the best way to ensure that you are ready to safely and fully participate. We perform physicals on a walk-in basis. Stop by at your convenience, and we'll complete your examination so you can begin your new endeavor with confidence. We offer several types of physicals, including:

  • Sports
  • School
  • Camp
  • Employment
  • CDL/DOT

STD Testing

A sexually transmitted disease (STD) is a bacterial or viral infection that is transmitted during sexual activity. The most common symptom of an STD is no symptom. Therefore, if you are sexually active, the best way to protect your health is to be regularly tested. We offer convenient and confidential testing for many common STDs, including:

  • Chlamydia
  • Gonorrhea
  • Hepatitis B
  • Hepatitis C
  • Herpes
  • HIV
  • Syphilis

Tetanus Boosters

Tetanus is a potentially life-threatening bacterial infection that affects the nervous system and causes severe muscle stiffness. In general, if you received basic immunizations as a child, you should receive a tetanus booster every 10 years. We offer the following types of tetanus boosters:

  • Td – Provides protection against tetanus and diphtheria
  • Tdap – Provides protection against tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough)

Travel Medicine

If you're planning to travel abroad, we can help ensure that you will stay as healthy and safe as possible during your trip. After discussing your planned itinerary, we recommend immunizations, preventive medications, and general safety measures. We can help you minimize your risk of:
